Stitched for the Future

Stitched for the Future (2023) is a collection of mixed-media fiber art pieces that explore the stories of beautiful creatures around the world. Each piece was diligently hand embroidered onto a natural canvas of sustainably harvested birch tree bark or salmon leather that I tan and dye by hand. The larger works can take up to 100 hours of labor. In pursuit of preserving the future of our wildlife, a portion of the proceeds will be donated directly to conservation programs worldwide.


This theme was born out of a desire to highlight uplifting stories of successful conservation programs throughout the world and, additionally, to delight viewers with the joy of unique and charismatic organisms. According to the World Wildlife Foundation, we lose a staggering 10,000-100,000 species each year. It is easy to get lost in the heartbreak and forget to celebrate the incredible successes that wildlife warriors worldwide have made.

del mar - First Friday at Ursa Major Distilling

Join me for an evening of art and delicious cocktails for my release of the “del mar” collection. This show will include four original framed pieces, along with several pairs of embroidered bark earrings and brooches. You can also expect to see loads of limited edition, hand embellished prints of previous work.

I’ll be hanging out from 5-8pm on Friday the 4th, but the art will hang all month long!

Fairbanks Arts Mega-Bazaar

Join the Fairbanks Arts Association at Pioneer Park for the annual holiday bazaar! Amazing vendors from across the state will be hosted in the civic center where you can get all your holiday shopping done in one place! There will be train rides, live music, food trucks, visits with Santa, and a tree lighting ceremony to cap off the event!

Third Thursday @Ursa Major Distillery

I will be showing a small collection of works - Forest Floor - in the entry space at Ursa Major Distilling for the month of July. All pieces will be for sale, and will hang until the end of the month. Be prepared to turn your eyes to the forest floor for this collection of oft overlooked organisms you might find among the fallen leaves.

Join me for an evening of incredible eats and art galore at Just the Tips! They’ve recently opened their dine-in location and have generously agreed to host artists each month and I am honored to participate.

First Friday @Black Spruce Brewing Company

My first public show hangs at Black Spruce Brewery on April 2nd. All pieces will be for sale, and will hang until the end of the month. I will be showcasing my Wild Alaska collection. This collection includes pieces that feel like home - the Alaska Railroad, moose, wildflowers, and more.

I will be on site Friday, so come by and meet me! I will also have a selection of prints of previous works, stickers, and postcards available for purchase.
