The Goodfellow’s tree kangaroo (Dendrolagus goodfellowi) is one of 12 species of tree kangaroo, all of which are found in tropical rainforests of New Guinea, Queensland, and some nearby islands. All species of tree kangaroo are considered threatened primarily due to habitat destruction and hunting. While horribly clumsy on the ground, they are quite agile in the trees where they spend most of their time.
